Hi just wondered if anyone could give me some advice on what to do with regards to a PGCE I'm starting in September. I've signed up to do a PGCE in post compulsory education and I'd like to eventually teach adult literacy to learners with learning difficulties. The problem is, is that I need to do a Level 5 diploma in Literacy on top of the PGCE. I've been told that the diploma will run along side the PGCE. Before I applied to do the PGCE I completed a certificate in adult learning support and then a level 3 in communication, as I wasn't sure if I would need it to apply for the level 5 diploma. The trouble is, I failed the level 3 exam, so I'm now worried I won't be able to do the diploma. It states in the course entry requirements that you need to have level 3 skills language. Just wondering if anyone could advise me in any way.
