i am a single mother and i am going back to collage in september. my mother is looking after my son and i was wondering wether the are any grants or bursurys for me.and if their are any benefits for my mother?

speak to the college and ask if they can advise what grants may be available for you.

As for your mother, she wont be entitled to anything for looking after your child, she can charge you if shes a registered child minder but other than that the benefit is spending time with her grandchild.
are you in england thackers? I dont think theres financial help for folks going to college who work but if you are on benefits you may be able to get an extra payment of about �10/�15 a week and maybe your bus fares paid back. I think if you go to your local jobcentre and ask about back to work/training/courses they should be able to tell you everything you need to know.
