Blimey, that's complicated. I was always told my cousins kids were my second cousins, but I now know they are my first cousins once removed!! Bonkers!

Once removed means one generation removed, so your first cousins once removed are your first cousins' children. Your children will be second cousins to those children.

Same parents: brothers and sisters.

Same grandparents: first cousins.

Same great-grandparents: second cousins.

Etc.
