Why do they call all the low points the joys of pregnancy anyway?

If you feel the need to let it all go and get something off your chest, join in and rant away! All of us expectant mums and those who have been there, done that and got the stretch marks to prove it, know what its like and fully understand. So, no matter how trivial something seems, talk about it and hopefully you will feel better :)

(Failing that, we can send natalie for cream cakes later ;) )

i reckon if a lot of the teenage 'i want to have a little baby' brigade read this thread they may change their minds lol

I shall start:
Im on a strict diet since finding out that i have gestational diabetes. I have a risk of a large baby again and requiring intervention unless i can reduce my sugar intakes and get it under control.
I have to test my blood 4 times a day and i have to eat porrige without sugar.
No more choccy bars for me, or coke, or any of the things ive craved this time :(
oh and ive got farmers :(

And theres me whinging about a measly aching back! Oh, and lack of sleep thanks to the ever increasing pressure from baby pushing down and suffering bad PGP. Im sure I can feel baby rubbing its head against my pelvic bone sometimes, can this happen?

I think I have come out in sympathy for you red without realising it. I walked straight past the bakers, didnt feel like my normal cream cake at all, and Im actually sat here eating a nice healthy cheese salad baguette instead!
Im not allowed too much dairy either, but id kill for that bagette lol

My PGP seems to come and go, thank god but i reckon you could well be right about you baby banging its head down there, i remember that from last time. Those painful moments which make you lift your bum up as if thats gonna help.

still, not long to go now for you at least.
Ooooh, Red, sorry to hear about your condition hun. You're right - if all those teensy under-age girls knew what pregnancy can REALLY be like, I think a few'd change their minds!

Ive decided baby is not allowed to make an appearance over the next week because my mum is up in Notts visiting my sister but can come the week after as its half term that week here and my daughter is going to be with my parents for half term. I still havent got a clue of what shes going to be like when Im in labour and shes here. I have been told Im not to wake her during the night lol Better get myself a gag ready!

I dont mean to sound ignorant or dumb, but what is farmers?
Ok here goes....

My mum was taken into hospital this week (she is ok now and was released yesterday, and they are to fix her so that is good), but, God bless her, it has taken it out of me this week. Aside from my lazy arse drip of a brother she has no family so I have been up there every day and am exhausted now. The house is still being rewired so am spending my 6th night tonight sleeping on a mattress on the floor in the baby room (which incidentally has nothing for the baby in it because apart from a few packs of nappies, some baby wipes and a pair socks we have nothing for it). Our bedroom has no floor boards so we can't use it at the moment. My fella can't finish the bathroom til the electrics are done so a shower is out of the question and it means I have to bath, which I hate, because it takes it out of me just being able to sit up to wash myself!

Last night he had the cheek to snap that I had woken him up (by wobbling like a weeble across the room to switch the TV off that he had left on), and I then laid awake til half one whilst baby had a gymnasts session, before finally drifting off only to wake again at 3:30 because I needed to pee.

I haven't been able to stop eating for about 2-3 days now, I am literally constantly grazing and on the lookout for more food.

My ribs hurt, my hair is like a bog brush and my eyebrows won't stop growing; despite only getting them done last week I look like I have some crazy mono-brow going on. My trousers won't stay up and my tops wont stay down. Ony 7 weeks to go.....

I thnk I am done now. Feel better... now where's the cake?
Farmer Giles.... piles

Ha, ha, good idea psychick, thought it had been a bit too quite on here for the past few days. Redcrx, can't even begin to contemplate the thought of no chocolate, thats all that keeps me going and as for farmers, noooooooooo, its just not fair.

My rant - why does my 'mother & father in law' want to come over for a month over Easter? Presumeably to help which would be fine if they would lay of the critising, sanctimonious, religious claptrap they insist on spouting - oh the shame, unmarried mum, your child will be a b*stard, blah, blah, blah!

Rant over.

Can I have a custard cream please nat.
oh natalie, i think you deserve a lot of sympathy!

I feel like a weeble too. I walk like that Simone ladette off the telly!
Jeez nat, I thought I had problems!!!!!!

Thought you was supplying the cake? lol

Would it be better for you to sleep on the sofa? I have to admit I do most nights for a couple of hours because I fine I dont get as sore as being in bed all night. Not only that, I get very restless in bed and normally end up coming down for a little while anyway. I dont know how you manage getting up off the floor, I have enough trouble rolling out of bed lol I know what you mean about baths. The bit I struggle with is holding my legs out of the water long enough to wash them! Then I have to have a rest before attempting to get out. Maybe you could get mr natalie to help? Sorry to hear its been a tough week with your mum, glad shes on the mend though.
OMG youre not married warpig!???? shame on you!!! pmsl

have you got time to rush out and buy a wedding dress???

just did a quick google, we could have a whipround and buy you something like this? http://www.myspanglishvida.com/wp-content/uplo ads/2007/04/wedding-dress-for-pregnant-bride.j pg
I just dont know what alcoholic drink I should have tomorrow night :-)
PMSL redcrx, and that is no word of a lie, damn pelvic floor muscles!

You have no idea how much I would love to show that to her, she would be praying for my soul for ever more, although on the plus side I bet she would refuse to go to the wedding!

red she walks like the perfect lady compared to me! lol

warpig your in laws should have a chat to me. Not only am I expecting my 2nd child out of wedlock, this one has a different dad to the first one! Oh, and we dont even live together yet lol

I forgot my rant on maternity clothes. All my maternity jeans are now as loose as they get and yet I still have to undo them when Im indoors relaxing as theyre too tight despite them being a maternity size 12 and I was only a size 10 to begin with! Im always pulling my tops down too, even the loose fitting ones no longer cover my bump!

I went in to wake my daughter yesterday morning and she cheerfully said good morning........... ginourmous (sp?) bump!
4get, I'm not blonde you big silly..... but other than than it's pretty close likeness PMSL
Question Author
