I love wearing heels but find that I can't because I get awful pain in the balls of my foot. Every time I go out for the night in heels, which are never over two/three inches, I am fine for about an hour but by the end of the night I literally cannot walk and have to sit down whilst all my mates can happily dance the night away. Its starting to get me down- I don't want to wear flats all my life, especially when it comes to special occasions! I have tried gel cushions, which help a little bit, but I wondered if there is a gel I can buy that numbs my feet so I don't feel the pain?! Or any other helpful suggestions... Thanks.

Numbing the pain would be a very bad idea. You get pain because you are damaging your feet in some way - if you couldn't feel it you might cause irreparable damage.

I recommend you see a foot specialist to find out why wearing heels affects you in this way.

Hi party - There is a product on sale that is basically a gel filled pad you put in your shoes. I think Superdrug stock them, also try boots.
Aren't platform heels flat? Whats the point of going through hell just to wear what everyone else is wearing? I'd rather enjoy my life than follow some trend like a mad trend following numpty.
Buy the gel pads like skyep says - they are great. You can buy them in Superdrug, Boots or Clarkes. They can be worn in all your shoes, they just pop out, give them a bit of a wash and pop them in the next pair of shoes you're wearing.
partyhard said in her OP that she has tried the gel cushions but they don't do the job.
If you are not overweight, then I would suggest you see a foot specialist as you really should not be in so much pain.
In the meantime, have you tried wearing wedges? I find them more supportive as the weight is more evenly distributed rather than all focused on the ball of your foot, also they are in fashion at the moment which helps!!
