hi all, im getting married this year and the hotel that im getting married in has given us a price,(its not cheap but it never is),the price doesn't include the ceremony which is another £380, but im unsure if I need to get someone in to actually marry us ie humanist, minister, someone licensed to do it, or is that what they mean by £380,if its not what the heck is the £380 for?
thanks in advance

That price is not unreasonable. You must have a registrar in order for your marriage to be legal, and if the marriage isn't taking place in a register office or somewhere like a church, then the registrar charges a call-out free (made us laugh, reminded us of the plumber).... it does rack up, but it has to be done. It covers your certificates, attendance of the registrar, the legal bits, etc.
presumably the 380 is for the room/set up/music etc
i think you need to ask the people charging the £380!

how could any of us possibly know what their deal is?
Like I said - it's just for the registrar and all their legal bits http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/forum/the-wedding-budget/registrar-fees---how-much/39105.html
Hi watteee,

Firstly congratulations on your upcoming wedding ..hope its a special day :)

As joko mentions, there is only place that can give you the answers you need and that is the Hotel....I would call them and ask for confirmation of what exactly is included and the full price for the service.

Best of luck to you and your partner :)
