Think coz the way we met and the way we are now is so different. I love to read, he hates reading, I love to cook, he hates it, I love the garden, he hates it, sense a theme?? I adore him, but am struggling to even make a conversation some evenings now! Yes have had 2 G and T's but still have the same dilemma!!
The only thin Mrs MM and I have in common is love. Different opinions in every thing. From politics to TV progs to food and drink and to every thing else you can think of. Married 33 years come September. (if I live that long.)
Is it bothering you now smow? Think everyone goes through a wee spell - pass the g&t xx
Giving...up...wine... does... not... compute...repeat....................

Aww bless u tink and micmak. think its just come to light recently but deep down I knew it. We cannot agree on anything to do at wkend lol.
We don't either. Golden wedding coming up.
Seperate bank accounts, and at least 2 tvs help no end, :)
But love is the most important thing, Smowball and micmak:-)

doug - have- replaced- wine-with-vodka!!!! :)
Flamin' heck, Smowball, you had me worried there!!!

I read that you'd given up wine and automatically reached for the 'ban' button. (It's an unwritten rule that sober people aren't permitted to post here, especially late night on a Friday!). But then I saw the reference to G&Ts, so you're reprieved!
;-)

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with Hubby not enjoying cooking, as long as he enjoys what you cook. (That's how partnerships work!).
Oh, now I see that you're not even sure whether it's gin or vodka which you're drinking. You're obviously extremely well-qualified to be posting here late at night ;-)
Awck. Well ...just have a hug

Buenchico, yes I confess that alcohol had been a tad distracting this evening!!( Woo Hoo!!!)

Seriously,erm................. lol.....hic!
My husband liked shooting (at targets, not animals) but I never ever went with him. I just would not have been interested. He spent a lot of time in his workshop where he had a wood lathe and also liked to reload his own bullets. I cooked and pottered about in the garden and the house. I loved him dearly and I know he loved me and that is the whole crux of the matter exactly as said by the others love is the answer.

My fellow ABers.I guess my worry is that he is so worked obsessed that he has nothing to say inbetween
Mrs MM is a true Tory, hard to believe as she is a Yorkshire Girl. As here Mother would say " There's nowt so queer as folk"
You not got a wee holiday booked or anything - for a break? Xx
its healthy for partners to have different hobbies/interests, less boring.
Sounds a bit like Trish and me but this year we'll have been together 35 years.
