ohh thank you will have to have a look
halifax daughter had one (she's now 12) - she loved it, spent a lot of time playing with it - you can get educational and not-so-educational books for it, they're great :) x
my two both enjoyed using it. Either 'reading' stories using it, or playing games - finding objects etc.

have a look on-line and I'm sure you'll get a good deal, and games are easy to come by on E-Bay fairly cheaply.
I think for younerkids, and at less than half the price it's a lot better than a DS etc
I'd suggest a Little Jumpers Trampoline. Kids love it and will surely play with it more than once. Gradma may even play with it depending on the age :)
