Just want to say thanks to all who asked after me and sent me good wishes via my dad (Painterman32) I'm out of hospital, although not with the doc's blessing I'm afraid, they took nearly two litres of fluid off my knee over 9 days and the infection wouldn't heal - But they let me try with Manuka honey and now infection has gone and no more fluid build-up, thank goodness. Dad phoned me this morning, extremely angry - he bought himself a laptop yesterday, got it up and running last night - told the grandkids to keep away from it, and did they? - No, and he caught them this morning, all four of them in his study around it, he made them jump, so much so that his 10 year old grand daughter spilled her orange juice into it.

no need for a whelchair, the fluid and infection has gone, I can walk fine - the doc just wanted me to stay in another couple of days - but I'd had enough - didn't eat for 5 days, except fruit, missed my dogs and my kitchen like crazy so I signed out and came home.

Don't know, but I've just ordered him another one that'll be there by noon tomorrow, and I've threatened my neices and nephews if they so uch as look at it, they can forget coming to stay here during the holidays
Ok....I think. So Mercia Dad and Mum live on the farm with son and daughter in law....two children and two adopted children...

The fisherman also lives in Devon....different house...same child situation
Glad you are better mercia. Just wish I could say the same. Saw my Consultant on monday who has had my ankle put back in plaster because the walking boot was too painful for me to use.
Just password the user accounts and the b@stards can't access it.

Oh Jan, I'm sorry to hear that love - I think those walking boots were invented by a sadist - they are istruments of torture for sure. Any idea how long you'll have to have the plaster on?
Mercia - I've spilled all sorts of stuff in my lappy, and it has worked fine (once it has dried out!!). It may well be OK.
Im surprised your brother didnt deal with it being as it was his children who broke the laptop.. :o
