I am about to buy a US Hub 7 port . Do I need to buy a cable to plug into my laptop as well or will this be attached to the hub already. Sorry if this seems a stupid question, but I'm pretty new to this. Many thanks.

i would be surprised if it didn't come with an attached cable to plug into your USB port.

Having just looked at some of the 7 port USB adaptors Amazon are selling it appears that some of the hubs with multiple ports don't come with a cable. I suggest you check to be sure. Buying one without a cable supplied is a bit liike buying a TV with no mains lead.
