Then?i mean their.
Nope not me.  Only phone in sick when I am sick
No, never done it. Need the money!
Me neither (in fact, never had a day off sick genuine or otherwise)

I have never pulled a sickie. I can't do it, the guilt is overwhelming. I know a lot of people who do, though. IN the 8 months I've been working at my present company I've had one day off sick, and that was acute (i.e. projectile vomiting) food poisoning. Never eat snail salad. Not that most of you would anyway, I just thought it looked interesting!

I think all the ABers would rather come in to work sick, so that they can get on here and have a chin wag!
My friend's brothers band was coming down from Norwich to play a gig in London on a week night. I went along to the gig. Quite a few mates of the band wanted to come down from Norwich to see it so they had arranged a coach. I got quite drunk with my friend and at the end of the night when they were all getting on the coach to go back to Norwich he asked if i wanted to go back with them as there were spare seats. Being in the jolly state i was i decided that it was a good idea, not even thinking about work the next day! Well, we were having such a good time! The next morning i had to call work and say i wouldn't be coming in. My Boss asked if i was sick and i told her I wasn't but that i was in Norwich and I told her what had happened! Luckily, this was only about a week before i was leaving that job anyway so I don't think they thought there was any point in sacking or giving me a disciplinary!
oh, i also had about a week and half off work just as i was moving into a flat with a guy i was with at the time. I wasn't really ill but i just felt very bizarre and didn't want to talk to anyone or see anyone or do anything. It was very strange and a bit worrying. I just told them i was very ill, can't even remember what i told them. But looking back now i think i may have been stress/depression. Not wanting to go into a long story - the guy i was moving in with was a bad person and i'd stupidly agreed to get a flat with him though deep in my heart i knew it was a very WRONG thing to do. Arg!

i haven't really pulled a sickie altho I have taken days off when only minorly ill and probably could have struggled in. Also have sort of done so when I found out my long term partner was having an affair - did lie and said I had a migraine but did confess to my boss next day.

only once or twice - honest !, when i come in late or after a sick day and give an excuse my boss just says " yeah right, i need such and such doing".

I must admit years ago I went to the isle of wight pop festival and went missing for 2 weeks,Id met this american girl and she had a flat in southampton and we shacked up for a couple of weeks.when I went back home my sister told me my Boss had rung and he said to her tell him not to  bother coming back.well i was young then!!
vinny100 - why am i not suprised ? lol i have just mentioned you in B&S/sexual partners !.
sorry- P&P !

did you by any chance watch Trevor McDonald last night to come up with this question!!

I am so naughty, i must admit it, i have taken numerous days off sick in different jobs for all sorts of things. When there is new handbag/shoes, a girls just gotta go grab! I've had the odd 'sale' off work where i have HAD to go queue outside a shop waiting for doors to open so i can grab my bargains!
Can't believe so many of you don't pull the odd sicky especially Casey, never having a day off. I admire you guys, i just couldn't do it!!
Slap my wrists!

I occasionally take a sick day off just to have the day off, but always tell my boss I just need a break, and she's okay with it because I accrue the sick time faster than I can use it, even with those "sick" days!
I used to be a supervisor in a repair shop. I heard all the same excuses all the time so I told the guys to come up with something original if they wanted my blessing in having the day off. A few weeks later one of the guys called and told me someone stole his refrigerator. I happily gave him the day off with pay.

I don't, because it would be too easy and too tempting to repeat.  In an old job, the Union had negotiated 10 (I think) sick days off a year without the employer being able to formally comment about absence records, the agreement was called "Whitely".  Towards the end of the year, the older staff would book a week off on Whitely if they had not had much sick earlier in the year.

I am always truthful about the reasons I want the leave for. I thought I was alone in telling the truth. Its refreshing to hear that many ABs don't lie as well.

I haven't in the job I'm in now, but I'm on flexi time so it's easy to accrue hours and take days off when you like. In previous jobs I have been naughty tho, mostly just tiredness or a bit coldy knowing that I would actually get through the day but choosing to stay in a cosy bed with Phil and Fern. Once I was signed off with flu for a week but felt loads better after a few days, but thought I'd have the week off anyway and my boss called me on witheld while I was in a pub! He knew and asked me about it, I lied and he didn't believe me.
