can you have a false posative pregnancy test

hi can any1 help with this? i missed my period so did a test after 2weeks it come up neg, i did another at 3weeks it come back neg again, i did a 3rd 1 at 4weeks it *** up pos, 4 days later which took me to nearly 5weeks late i got my period, an now my test are sayin neg agen. can any1 help whit what they think is goin on?????

its very very rare that a false positive comes up.
Did you do the test correctly, could it have been an evaporation line?
was your period like normal? or was it shorter / lighter?

thats crazy, even if u were preg and lost the baby :o( your test would still have come up poss,

that is very rare, i was told its almost impossible for the test to say poss when its not,
but it maight have been a dud preg test!

id go the doctors and get a test by them just to make sure, you could well be pregnant and that is the only test that was right and its still possible to have periods when you are preg! unlikely but u never know!!

yeah i did the test properly, i did them all the same, my priod is a little differnt, its not as heavey, but still heavey cuz i do have really heavy 1s. i got my bloods today an they have also come up neg so i have asked to c a doc.

I think you should go to the docs just to make sure. Things such as ectopic can mean you have a lower level of pregnancy hormone than in a normal pregnancy. Better safe than sorry.
