dates....
hi bit of a complicated question but needs to be answered if anyone can...
well i have been out with my gilfriend for 5 years we split up at the end of march 2007 we both went our seperate ways but then we got bak together at the end of april..then we found out she was pregnant she slept with one other person on the 16th of april... she was given a due date of 7th of january but happily we had her on the 19th of december.....does anyone one no if she conceived in march or the one time on april 16th thanks paul

16th April - 19 December is 8 months, isnt it?
so March would get it to the "normal" 9 month period
if the baby was born early...it may have had to be kept on an incubator etc
Im assuming then that on the 16th April, no birth control was used, if youre asking this question??
Obv the only way to settle this, is have a DNA test done, to erase any doubt

like the above answer it depends if the baby was early?
did they work out her due date from her last period? or did they work it out from a 12 week dating scan??
the scan will be more acurrate,
if they worked it out from her last period then the baby would have been conceved around the middle of april, because you ovulate approx ( never accurate and everyone is different) 2 weeks ish after your last period, she if she had sex on the 16 april you can assume her last period was beginning of april/end of march and that makes 40 weeks to the 7th january, im really sorry
but.....

According to BBC pregnancy calendar using the date of conception at 16th April, the baby would be due on 7th January.
If you put 19th December as ECD (date baby is / was due) then date of conception works out to be March 15th.
I think it depends on if your baby arrived early or not?
It's not an exact science though so I would suggest a paternity test.

i hope our answers help paul, i do feel for you as its pointing towards not being yours, its really importnant if you had a dating scan or not?
i thought i was 4 weeks further then i really was!!! untill i had my scan, periods and ovulation are never accurate and different in everybody,
this is gonna be such a close call

My baby is due on 6th Jan 09 and I conceived on the weekend of 18th April, so comparing to my dates you'd think conception took place in April. However, as stated in other posts, since the baby was born in December it may be the original due date was wrong and she was conceived in March.
The only way you'll know for sure is a DNA test.

hi my son was concieved around the 1st week of march(3yrs ago!) im certain of this and he was born on the 2nd of december so if your girlfriend concieved in march then december woud be the estimated month the baby would be due. still best to get a test done if your not sure or try and go over the pregnancy records. does the baby not resemble you at all? usually you can see even the slightest similaraties of both parents. its up to you tho if you can live with the uncertainty or if you feel that it doesnt matter if you are or arnt her father it doesnt take being the sperm donor to be a father! the best father will be full of love and care no matter what. good luck
