Is it dangerous to an unborn Foetus to use a laptop. (The mother to be using it, not the baby) Sorry worded that stupidly and can't be bothered to delete and retype.

Sorry I don't know the answer V, but I am keen to know ..... have you got some news for us, or are ya asking for a friend?
I don't have an answer either but I had a baby 4 months ago used the laptop constantly esp. in the last 8weeks as mat leave is dull, dull, dull!!

Nobody ever warned me about any risk. (MWs GPs, baby wesites, etc.) I never even thought about it being dangerous so I hope it isnt!
Blimey! I hope not! Never thought about it. What makes you ask?
Don't say that about mat leave K8. Its the light at the end of my tunnel!
Funnily enough, i have thought this question many a time, but also dont have an answer!
OK this really isn't my normal section to be answering in :)

Firslty is it wireless or not... if it's not then no for sure...if the laptop is wireless then it is a radio transmitter in the same way that cell phones are... and sure you have all heard about the damage some say those can cause.

However keep in mind there has been no actual evidence that cell phones cause damage. let alone laptops to unborn babies

My answer would therefore me no its not dangerous. but if, as a parent, anyone is worried about it then don't just for your own peace of mind.

However... on a geeky note you shouldn't use laptops actually on your lap (yeah I know, why call them that!) because it stops the cooling fans from being able to draw air and they tend to overheat
