Im 24 weeks and constantly tired, last night I slept from about 9pm - 11.30pm on the sofa, went to bed and slept almost right through till 10am this morning - if I didn't have to go to wrk Mon-Fri I'm sure I'd sleep this much all the time, nearly every night I'm asleep on the sofa by 9 at the latest - I know you're supposed to be tired during pregnancy but is this excessive? I thought I was supposed to full of energy in the 2nd trimester!!

I have been like that the whole way through K8. When I entered my 2nd trimester I was waiting for a burst of energy but it didn't happen or if it did I didn't notice! If you are tired just sleep, there is nothing else for it, enjoy it while you have the chance. I don't think I have ever slept so well as during my 2nd trimester. Just wait 'til the third, thats when you want to sleep but cant get comfortable, darn bump in the way.
During both my pregnancies I was so tired I was convinced I could have just hibernated!
I wasn't too bad during my 2nd pregnancy, but with my first I came home from work at 5.30 had my tea and was in bed by 6.00pm at the latest and I wouldn't move until I had to be up again for work the following day.
K8, I was (am) exactly the same. I was waiting for this burst of energy in the second trimester but now I am at 33weeks I guess I should give up waiting.

Thankfully, tiredness has been the only ailment I have had - no sickness or anything else really, and just general aches and pains, but I have never been so tired in my life as I have being pregnant, and as warpig says, I have never slept so soundly.

If you feel tired then sleep, there is no harm in that atall, and make the most of it as you surely won't get much over the coming months! X
