Hi Gina,

in Norfolk they are 4.00 from the NHS scans.

I got about 10 free with my private scan though (although that was 160)
Here in the south east, NHS scan pics are 2 for 6 or 4 for 10.
Do you mean the ones they give you when you go for a scan or are there better ones? Apologies if that sounds a bit thick but the sonographer just gives them to me (3 each time).
Im talking about the normal ones warpig. When I was expecting my daughter, mine were free too. It seems youre one of the lucky ones to be in an area where they stil dont charge like everywhere else. Do you have to pay for your actual scan though warpig?
No I havent paid for anything at all, was just a bit worried that maybe I was supposed to and didn't know it. Blimey, thats terrible isn't it, that you have to pay for this stuff, the thought never even crossed my mind.
hi gina32.i live in north wales and the price for a scan is 2.00.this is the same amount as i paid 7yrs ago with my first child!!
I paid 1 each, that was nearly 8 and 7 years ago now though. I only ever had the one scan with each pregnancy.
My scans were also a 1 each, although I had loads of them! If your hospital offers the latest 4D scans - DO go for them, because the pics are unbelievable. My friend's just had some done, and for 75, she was given 5 pics plus the DVD of the scan itself. I think it's worth every penny.
In Oxford I got 2 12 week pics and they asked for a voluntary donation of 5.

it seems to vary, although i would have thought nhs would have set a price. also do your nhs allow any, as in your own children in to the scan?
gina, my son came with me to my nhs scan, they dont mind as long as the children dont cause chaos.

When he watched my private scan, as i got off the bed he pulled his jumper up to show his tummy and climbed onto the bed and laid down lol.

lol bless him. at our local hospital they wont allow children in, and have a notice up saying that if you leave your children in the waiting room they wont accept responsibilty. but it doesnt tell you in the appointment letter that you cant take them, so if you havent anyone to look after them what do you do???
there free where I am in east sussex.
Hi gina, at the hospital where I had my scans done, it also had a sign up saying no children in the room during the scan. But I took my daughter anyway (whos is 6) as I want her to be as involved as possible. They didnt object to her coming with me and my partner. I think its like redcrx, so long as they dont cause chaos, it isnt a problem. If you are really unsure, why dont you give the ultra sound department a call explaining you have no one to look after them and therefore would it be ok for them to come in with you.
Question Author
we asked while we were there and they said no, if they do it for one they have to do it for everyone
