Maternity Leave Financial Help

I'm having my third (and last) child after 12 years. I'll be 3 months shy of qualifying for the full maternity leave at my job. After speaking with my Human Resources Department I was advised that I will only qualify for 3 weeks of income. That includes Short Term Disability and any Vacation that I may have. I will be out from work for 8 weeks due to a C-section. Does anyone know of any government or private agencies in the US that helps in cases like this? I can't afford to not get paid for 5 weeks.
