I am currently 6/7 weeks pregnant. I have no sickness, I am just really really tired. i have been taking it easy, not lifting things etc. Today I noticed that my usual discharge has a pink tinge to it, like i might start to bleed. I am quite worried now and I am definately going to the docs tomorrow. Has anyone else had this and then found out everything is fine?

Im glad to see that you are going to see your GP, there are often Qs asked on here by women who seem to think they will get as good an answer as they would seeing a GP

Well im sure you are aware what the worse case scenario could be with the pink tinge.

BUT some women get whats called an implantation bleed in early pregnancy that is just a tiny spotting of blood, it doesnt mean baby is in danger

Others get a discharge of old brown blood around the time when their period is due, again no danger to the baby.

I had spotting after sex during the first few months because of cervical erosion (my midwife said), again I had a healthy baby.

Get an appointment asap tomorrow and give your GP the details and advice.

If at any point bleeding gets heavier or you experience any pain in your abdomen or shoulder then please call your early pregnancy unit at your local hospital or go to A&E immediately.

wishing you all the best for your pregancy
I bled (bright red) at 8 weeks and was terrified (have had 3 miscarriages). However - all was fine! Now 19 weeks.

Pink spotting is quite normal, but bright red blood CAN spell a potential problem (but not always - as in my case).

Keep a check on it tonight. Hopefullly it won't get worse. But definitely see GP/midwife tomorrow.

Good luck - let us know. xxx

I ended up going to my early pregnancy unit at the local hospital last night as i was so worried. they examined me and said everything seemed ok and it was prob just a threatened miscarriage. This morning i had to go back for a scan to check if the baby was in the right place, right size etc and all was well!!! I got to see the heartbeat and now everything seems so real!! i just hope it doesnt happen again.

thanks all!!
am so glad bubs is ok. I cant imagine how scary it mustve been for you but at least you were seen promptly at the EPU.

take it easy now and try and enjoy the next 7 months!
Oh well done you for taking the right steps and it all had a good outcome. Keep up the good work and my best wishes for a good 7 months and future.xxxxxxxx
