Is this your first pregnancy B.Bee? You dont always feel flutterings. But if you are concerned, give the midwife a ring. x
I remember i was worrying that i had no flutterings or movement and i read somewhere that if you eat a mars bar and a can of coke and then lie on your side, you will get flutterings!!! I thought ridiculous but did it anyway and my gorgeous daughter never stopped moving and kicking for the next 4 months!!!!!!
I didnt feel my first pregnancy until i was 22 weeks pregnant and had a minute bump, with my second pregnancy i felt him move at 18 weeks and never got a bump at all, with this one i had flutterings at 11 weeks and was in maternity wear at that stage too, the first pregnancy is often when you dont feel movement quite so early, if my bump is quiet i always drink a glass of ice cold water, that gets her going again!

thank you all so much, i feel much better for knowing this, this is my first pregnancy it was just as my sister is also pregnant and 4 weeks behind me and had flutterings on 2 occasions but her bump seems bigger, it might be as she is bigger all over i've noticed and although i have an additional layer of fat on my belly it feels like i dont have much of a bump....

anyway thank you again
flutterings...butterflies... if only someone had said it felt like farting but internally I would have known what that feeling was. It was only after I had him that I realised thats what they were on about.
yeh i was 22 weeks before i felt anything but he did choose his time carefully i was lying on the midwifes bed and she had the microphone thing on my bump she asked me if i had felt anything yet i said no and 20 seconds later he gave an almightly kick to the microphone , it was amazing .
I first felt my son kick at about 20 weeks. First pregnancys are often harder to feel the first kick, possibly because you dont know what it should feel like.

The way i described it to my boyfriend may help: lay in the bath with your tummy not covered by water. Then dip your hand into water and lift out. Put your hand above your tum and let drops of water fall from your fingers onto your tum. Its such a slight feeling and to me feels exactly as those first kicks did.
