Years ago I trained up as a hairdresser and this led to me developing contact dermatitis. It was fairly awful then but as soon as I gave up hairdressing it pretty much cleared up, other than on a really hot day it would come up. Not had a problem with it for a few years but over the past few weeks it's really flaring up for no apparant reason. It doesn't effect my entire hand, most just around the thumb and first two fingers. Tonight it's really itchy, red and come up in the little blister type lumps.
I can't think of any products I've been using differently recently that might make it come up. Are there any other reasons it might suddenly flare up?
Skins are not my forte ........but clearly you are a " hypersensitive subject and the distribution that you describe would suggest something that you Holstein or liquid that comes into contact with your skin.
Another factor is anxiety and tension in a hypersensitive subject which may bring on such a rash.
Steroid creams will clear this up, but the best I can come up with is as staed above.
You can suddenly develop it from products that you have been using for years as well. Stress can also be a factor that will bring it on. This comes from years of experiences as I suffer very badly with this.
Cetraban is good for dermatitis. I get very dry chapped hands all year round and I've found that this cream is the best and I've tried all sorts like E45.
I might pop to the chemist today and see if I can get some of that Tigger. Woke up this morning to find I'd almost scratched my hands off in the night. :(
