I did notice that earlier, thank you. Apart from the fact that I could never see the difference between grapefruit and any other citrus fruit in these circumstances, I was convinced that the the instructions were not to take with grapefruit at or around the same time. Unfortunately I don't have the leaflet to hand as they go in the bin unfolded and unread, not least because of the infantile way in which the information is usually presented. Anyway,I have just ordered my fresh supply of Pravastatin today, so shall read the accompanying leaflet with interest.

Thanks, it will be interesting.
I didn't mean to say unfolded, rather not unfolded, still folded, un-unfolded or unopened, whatever.
I've never heard of pravastatin mike. similar to simvastatin?
Could be. I am not well up on this but I believe that there are various statins, just like antibiotics. I know that when my Doc first prescribed them for me - may have been Simvastatin, I can't remember - her computer said no because they reacted unfavourably with Erythmomycin, which I have to take daily, so she had to hunt around for another type.
many thanks for reply mike, very interesting x
