thankyou andy hughs.  i am new to answerbank, and i have asked 2 questions-1 about my 6month old and 1 about my teenager, and you have answered both brilliantly.  Thanks alot.  (am now just about to have some butterfly cake that the teenager has baked!)

I have been with the Site since it started over three years ago - I was drafted in as one of seven Channel Producers. We each wrote three weekly features, which were available as an Archive prior to the recent format change - I can't see that facility now, maybe it's been dropped.

Anyway, I specialised in Music, and answered any incoming Questions. As the site expanded, it becamse 'stand-alone' so the features were not needed, and we were cut loose, but i have stayed on and visit the Site every day to respond where and when i can.

As i mentioned, i have three daughters, and two grand-children - the scond is just nine days old, so I have experience of family life at all ends of the scale, and I'll happily give my 10p worth on anything that comes in.

I'm deslighted you found my answers helpful, welcome to the AB - I hope you stick around for a long time, and stick in as many questions as you want.

qaswqasw if you do stick around, you'll see Andy answers people alot, giving generously of his time.  I personnally think his specialities are questions like those you asked (not that his factual knowledge isn't excellent) where advice is required.  He is always wise, compassionate, fair, straightforward, kind and full of insight.  If I had a best friend like Andy, I' d turn to him every time I had a personal or family problem, as I know he'd give an honest and sensible answer to my question.    Welcome to AB (and the Andy Hughes appreciation society!!!).

Andy's answers have always been sensible, kind, caring & very helpful. He sounds very much like my husband - a very nice family man.
