When my two kids were small and learning to swim i bought them a jacket thing that went over the body or over the swim suit that had to be inflated, can you still get these as im looking for them with cartoon characters on or such like and reasonably priced. Any help please. Thanks xx

I'm not sure, but I think buoyancy aids for children that rely on inflation are no longer in favour.

I think you can get over-suits that have buoyancy materials (a type of polystyrene or foam) built-in.

Good luck.

Think they do have them in mothercare but they are not cheap!!

I bought my daughter a couple of items from here - a swimbelt with detachable floats (that look like ducks) whilst she's learning to swim in the pool, and a front/back pad for swimming in the sea. I thought the prices were very reasonable, and they have some really nice, bright-coloured, fun looking items.
