what are those big character costumes called that people go inside. You get them for sports mascots and theme parks etc?

have you been in one? and what was your experience like?

i was dressed in a costume of a bloke and a group of teenage girls came up to me and asked for a hug and i think one kissed the costume. But it was for a good cause.

are they all called mascot costumes, would you say characters like mickey/minny mouse and the other ones they have are mascots of disney?

Not a 'big' costume, but i wore the 'White Rabbit' costume in the Trigger Happy TV Christmas Special about five years ago. It's too long a story to go into here, but fans of the show will not be surprised to hear that the guys wearing the dog costumes started pushing and shoving each other as soon as they were within reach!

I suppose you could call them Character Costumes mollykins. There are shops who hire out incase you ever need one.

Mickey Mouse costumes have a copywrite with disney and i doubt you could hire one. The Disney idea being that an 8 foot mickey mouse will make every visitor to disneyworld think they are back in their childhood, no matter how tall they are!
