im Seventeen and am 26 weeks pregnant, My ex is 20 and we had been together near enough 2 years, However he didn't react to well and he didn't talk to me for a while.
So i decided that his parents needed to know,so i went over to talk to them, and luckily they where really understanding, and really supportive, Of course he was not happy about this and carried on ignoring me.
A few weeks later i got a random text from him asking me if i was 'ok?',and asking if he could come see me?. So i decided to let him, he came to my house and we talked about things, After he had been at mine a while he asked if he could feel my belly and i let him.
After that things went wrong,he didn't talk to me for months on end. Then in August i saw i had a random missed call from him, obviously i was surprised as i had not heard from him in months, We got texting and talking and he seemed fine he kept asking me if i have anyone new? 'or who was i sleeping with' ,we talked for a while and when i told him how far i was he seemed shocked. When we got talking about the baby he decided to text and say 'miles for a boy, grace for a girl ' I was SO happy i thought this was his coming around to the situation!.
He seemed fine for weeks with everything, then one day he stopped talking to me.I was so confused he had completely messed with my head! So i rung his parents just to say me and him had been talking etc..And he had lied :|, he had told them that he had, had no contact with me what so ever.. he had also told them that i had been slagging the family of, WHICH I HAD CERTAINLY HAD NOT!, He lied so much :# and i don't really know why?!, Because he was coming around. His dad told him to change his number, i think this is because they think that i lied about his contacting me, i even said i have them in my inbox and i will bring them to show you! The other day i tried texting him, and he has changed his number. What is going on with him!? :(. I Dont understand it, What is g

He sounds extremely immature and selfish, and I honestly think you are better with him out of your life. However, he is the child's father and needs to take responsibility when the child is born. At the moment I would try to concentrate on you and your child and totally ignore him or any communications he might send you. You need to be getting support from those that love and care for you. I hope you have this support from your family.

It's easy for me to say as I am not involved. You need to be strong for the say of yourself and your child and you need to be as relaxed as possible.

I hope all goes well for you.
When I say he needs to take responsibilty when the child is born, I don't mean you need to be together. I mean he needs to take financial responsibility and be made to realise that the child is a long term commitment for him.
yes he does sound immature and selfish, and perhaps he is having difficulties dealing iwht it. Lottie's advice is good, it would be best for you and the baby to stay away from him until he shows more maturity. And when this time comes I would also involve his family so that everyone is being open. However, thats for the future, you do need to concentrate on you and the baby now. It's scary enough being pregnant without all the rest of this going on!
Take care and best wishes with the baby xx
i would echo what lofty has said.
For now you need to concentrate on yours3elf and the baby. Dont get your hopes up about your ex, he needs to sort his own head out.
Easier said than done though. The thought of being a single parent at 17...!!

What about your parents?
