I had this op, a good few years ago. When I woke from my op I was totally without pain, either from the op or from the sciatica, which had been intense. I even refused pain relief about to be injected into my drip. They didn't believe I was pain free and the doc crept back in and injected it anyway.

If you have had nerve damage in your foot, resulting in some numbing, this may start to recover. In my experience, posted about before, this was very painful and I hope the pain you are still feeling is the sciatica taking a while to relent. They certainly send you home quickly these days. I was flat on my back for a week and in hospital for nearly 2.

I wish you well. Take my advice, as simple as it sounds, dont put up with any pain. Tell your doc and get pain relief or reassurance all is as it should be.
