recipe for play dough

hi does anyone know how to make home made play dough for kids, we brought some from a fare once and it was much better than shop stuff.

1 cup of plain flour
1 cup of warm water
2tsp of cream of tartar
1tsp oil
1/4 cup of salt
food colouring
mix all ingredients adding colouring last
stir over med heat until smooth.
remove from pan and knead.

you may find you need a little flour on the surface when kneading

to keep place in a plastic bag.

Hi yes same recipe as above but you can make in microwave rather than in a pan! I hate scrubbing out pans! much too much hard work! I like to add glitter and sometimes smells such as peppermint essence to mine but dont microwave if you use glitter! Cocoa powder is good for choccy playdough too
