my daughter is almost 8 and half months old she was previously sleeping 3 hourly as still wanting breastfeed which I could do and got used to. But now she wakes almost hourly crying - i wait to see if she can fall back to sleep but doesnt, I try to get her back to sleep (this being a dummy and holding her arm as she tries to take it out and keep rolling over) and then wants to roll over and climb onto bars of cot. This keeps happening until she normally falls has a bump and cries or i keep going back in laying her down and trying to get her to sleep this happens several times. is she waking because shes now at the age where there is lots going on, ie crawling and pulls herself onto playtable or sofa or table, or could it be the new teeth?? she isnt particulary grizzly in the day only at nap times. any advice would really be helpful. thank you

Is she cold? Could that be waking her up? My 7 and half was waking up every night and would not go back off unless in bed with us. Last three nights i have wrapped her up like i used to and she has gone through until 5.30/600 am. Fingers crossed for tonight!

I have checked this, its about 22 in the room she has a long sleeved vest on and a 1 tog gro bag, i think thats ok, i check her chest and its about normal, any other ideas??? please....
Think you may have to brave it out for a few nights and ignore her. Leave her for periods of 5 then 10 minutes keeping building it up. If shehas lost her dummy, give it back to her but don't talk or make eye contact with her. Sounds cruel but the get the message quickly. Believe me i am no expert and baby ended in with us again last night as i ws to tired to bother listening to her and she has been crying now for an hour as her older sister woke her up!

Maybe it is her teeth - have you tried calpol? My GP recomended medised when older one was teething as it has a mild sedatitive but again no expert

Hi thanks for your help, we have just had a week away but we are back and back in her cot, she had her 3 naps today but short ones well 30 mins each, and she didnt settle well tonight, bed at 6 she wouldnt settle although she was tired, maybe not tired enough, so left her to settle where she climbs up on the side until she was crying, I settle her at 6.45, she woke again at 7.20 and again at 8, she turns form her back onto her arms and then i hear her crying and shes on her arms and not sure why she doesnt lay back down its like she is stuck but she does this downstairs in the day when crawling around i'm sure, i do wait to see if she will settle but she gets so upset so quickly on the intercom I cant wait too long when she is like this......
