Worried about my son...

My son is 3 and has never eaten well but has always had a craving for ice!.. More recently it's all he asks for... i think this is really strange behabiour and am concerned.. Does anyone know what it could be?

Also, he has been complaining of an itchy back for the last week.. Does anyone know what this could be? I use non biological powder in my wash and i have'nt changed it.

Craving ice has been connected with iron deficiency-anemia. If he has never eaten well he could be lacking iron. However, he might just like crunching ice cubes with his teeth-probably not good for the teeth but maybe he'll grow out of it.
Might be worth mentioning the ice craving to his doctor.
