Cot to Bed

i have just changed my daughters cot to a cot bed and put her down for her nap in it, for the past hour she has screamed! i have went in every 10 mins not spoke or looked at her and put her back down. but she has still carried on screaming! any ideas?

do you still have the sheets you took off the old cot ? would they fit over the new one ? (Dont put them loose near her) ... if you can it may reassure her ... it might just be an new and unusual smell she may not like ... failing that just (hard as it may be) keep going back to re assure her, no speaking or eye contact ... hang in there ...
We were worried about this one and built the change up into "Big Girls Bed" involved her in physically changing the bed to a BGB did it first thing in the morning so she had all day to get used to it and kept reminding her and she went in like a dream - have to use a bumper bar incase she falls out - all the bedding fts and all her toys are still there. Good Luck with it.
