Hi Spangle, sorry not posted back, it's been manic the past few weeks as I am cramming in as much as poss before I go back to work on 19th June :-(

Thanks for asking - lil un has stopped teething as bad & there is no sign of them popping through in the next wee while. It's such a shame as he went through hell for about a week & half for nothing! His bum & tum are better now too, so for the meantime we are just having as much fun as we can!

I'll let you know in this thread when those pearly whites pop though!

Glad to hear he's better now - lets hope when the little blighters do pop through he gets them with no bother. Enjoy your time together before you go back love - I was distraught when I had to go back but it was that or financial ruin. My little darling is 7 now and I still hate to leave her but at least she understands why - We just make sure we have loads of fun in the time I have off.

Keep enjoying being a mum - it really is the best job in the world! xxx

You are a very kind & thoughtful lady spangle, I bet your daughter thinks you are the best Mum in the world! You are right, it is the best job in the world, it's just a pity it doesn't pay as much as my other job! I am only going back 4 days so I think the extra day will make all the difference.

Good news is, my husband said this morning that our son would make a brilliant big brother in a year or two, so hey! I get to do this again.

Take care. Tiggs xx

You lucky thing - I didn't have my daughter until I was 36 - thought I was too selfish earlier so unfortunately she is the only one for us (she gets spoiled rotten of course!) but I would have loved more - Not quite sure about my husbands wish for 5 though!

Hope your lovely family is as happy as ours and keep me posted on all your news. Your right about the extra day too - when I get an extra day off it feels like ages!

Keep smiling

Hi spangle, I promised to let you know if my son produced any teeth & I am delighted to say that 1 popped through this afternoon & it looks to be very closely followed by the neighbour of it. It was bottom middle left that came in & he made very little fuss about it at all. Bless him, he's been great, no sleepless nights (yet, touch wood!!) and he's not off his food.
He's exactly 7 months old today, a nice way to celebrate don't you think?
Hope you & your family are well?

Hi Tiggs lovely to hear your news - I just love being a mum because even when they get a bit older no two days are the same. I'm really glad he's cutting them with no problems Emily, (my not so little anymore!) angel slept most of hers through it makes life so much easier - my friends baby seemed to scream for the first 10 months solid - nightmare!
Hows the work thing going - I cried like a baby when I had to go back and ended up leaving for a job closer to home because I had 2 hours travelling a day. I still miss her now when I'm at work but at least she's older and knows that santa brings nicer presents because mummy goes to work - bless.
Take care love and keep me posted - you're right when you say its a nice way to celebrate - celebrate every day - before you know it he'll be starting school! Spangle xxx
Hi spangle, thank you for your kind words & for sharing some happy times from being a mum.
I am coping better that I thought with being back at work, it's just manic from a Monday morning to a Thursday night (not working Fridays) but it is easy once you get into the swing of it. I can understand why you chose to work closer to home, as you have very little time to get everything done by the time you get in from work. My husband is working 14 hour days at the moment (he's a professional golfer so he works hellish hours in summer) so that makes it really hard to get all the bits n bobs done.
My son, Elliot, is being cared for very well & is thriving with the added stimulation. A friend is a child minder so he is with her 2 days, 2 days grandparents (their choice!) and then with me for the rest. I must admit work is a doddle compared to looking after him some days!
Ok, off to put feet up for a well earned rest...
Take care & keep in touch. Hope you are well.

Hi Tiggs
Glad to hear you're coping well. We're all doing really well thanks hope its the same for you? They say that children do better with added stimulation of other people. Emily is well in advance of her years conversationally because she has always been around adults.
My boss who can't abide kids thinks she is brill but he says she's a mini adult.
I know I'm biased but she's well behaved and polite with good manners and it gets her away with murder! We're lucky with the childminding too - My husband works 3 12 hour shifts and then gets 3 days off and because he works days and nights we only need someone 3 days in 12.
Tried sending her to one of these clubs before and after school for a while but there was a really dodgy bloke there who she didn't like at all so now her gran makes the 40 mile journey to look after her. Its nice because they get to spend time together and I get on really well with her too - plus she does the housework for me while she's here! God bless mothers-in-law!
Take care love and keep smiling. Spangle xxx
Hi spangle - just thought you might like to know that Elliot's 2nd tooth popped through the other day & he was as good as gold about it. He loves smiling & showing them off & is also very chuffed that he can sit up unaided (although I have to position him) and roll from 1 side of the room to the other. He's just fab & I'm so proud of him!
Hope you & your family are all well & coping with the summer heat?
Not really on the AB much just now, a bit bored with all the cliques of people posting rubbish to be honest. One day I'll have a proper question so may be back.
Take care,

Hi Tiggs Great to hear that tooth number 2 has come through with no problems - it makes your heart swell watching them grow doesn't it? Emilys teeth have started dropping out now so I have the fun of being the tooth fairy lol!

We're all doing really well and the heat is fine - I work in a lovely air conditioned office so thats good, and we've just bought a 10ft swimming pool so we can cool off in that at home. Emily is having a field day the only problem is getting her out of it - the good thing is its only 3'6" deep so she can cope with the depth too.

I know what you mean about AB I get sick of the inane drivel posted by some people. I really don't get that bored that I feel the need to join in.

Lovely to hear from you though I await the next tooth with baited breath!

Take Care
