hi, I promised I'd let all the kind people who posted on the asking for names thread and we've ( finally) decided on a name for our little girl, haven't registered her yet so here's the last chance for anyone to point out a good reason why we shouldn't call her that ( like her initials make a rude word, or it's a famous mass murderer's name etc etc etc), so if you can see anything wrong with it, now's your chance to tell us. So is there anything wrong with

Rivka Aisling Catherine O' Reilley

Rivka is after my wife's greatgrandmother who survived one of the death camps, Aisling was my pick, this time a great great grandmother and a few of you suggested it too and a couple of you also suggested Catherine which we both liked.

Any flashes of inspiration would be gratefully recieved and thanks to everyone who made suggestions and have asked after her.

Thanks.

Lovely names. Im sure your daughter will appreciate the time that you spent choosing her names when shes older.

As for initials spelling some swearword or something, you can never tell what swear words will be invented in next 16 years. Youll just have to wait and see Im afraid.

Anyway, congratulations on the birth of Rivka.

Congrats on choosing exactly the right name for your daughter. I too think it is wonderful that you took your time and waited until you were certain. I have never heard the name Rivka but it is quite beautiful and especially so because of the lady she inherited it from! All three names sound good together! Well done on your choice!
Brilliant,slightly unusual,original,but sounds good,congrats!!
love your final choice Nox, really beautiful, and I'm certain these names will suit wee Spud perfectly. All the best to you all. xxx
Lovely names - especially the first one. Many congratulations to all of you - enjoy being 'God-on-earth' for her, until she hits puberty!
Such a beautiful name!!
wonderful name !!!

Absolutely beautiful, noxlumos. I haven't heard of the name Rivka before ~ very unusual without being too way out there..

I also think it is wonderful you have chosen a name in honour of a great, strong woman. Rivka is a very lucky girl :o)

I am glad you have settled on such lovely names. I know what you mean about the initials combo. though , Mr Sense for instance will never sport a monogramed shirt in the Paris office, as over there his initials spell the T.L.A. for homeless!

Beautiful name!! Keep it keep it!

A truly wonderful name, I wish her and all your family the best of health. Mazeltov.

What a beautiful romantic name, sounds very chic. When she becomes famous she'll still be able to use it!

Congratulations

Congratulations... never heard that before!! Good health to you and your beautiful baby!
well, Mr noxlumos, I can't say im not dissappointed, because frankly, you did have my hopes up......... hehehehehe

seriously, absolutely lovely. You must be very pleased and her name is just beautiful. Enigmatic, yet charming, feminine yet strong and simply beautiful.

Well done to you and mrs Nox.
love and best wishes

"miriam" mimififi.

Well, great, that the poor little thing finally has got a name.

I've never heard of a child being nameless for this long!

And all the best for the future!

I like it - history for her to follow when shes older and different enough for her to be remembered.
