Yes, they could. My husband and i were trying to conceive for 5 years. Turns out I wasn't releasing any eggs some months, or, because my cycle was so irregular, there was no telling when I'd be ovulating.

I was put on clomiphene nitrate, more commonly known as chlomid. It did the trick as i got pregnant on my fifth cycle.

However, it doesn't work for everyone and i wouldn't want to get your hopes up too much, but it's certainly wortyh a try, if your doctor feels it would be right for you. When you research it on the internet you might read about some not very nice side effects but again, everyone reacts differently. I wouldn't say I suffered unduly. There were a few ewmotional rollercoasters a bit of weight gain but that was noting compared to the weight gain of pregnancy!

Good luck!

Hi, i had the same prob a few years ago. I had been tested and found to be not ovulating. I had to wait 3 months from the test to see my consultant, by then i had fallen prgnant naturally, much to my surprise.! i too had a 3 yr old and i was 23. i was offered clomid once i found that i wasnt ovulating, which i declined because of the side effects, also it doesnt work for everyone! there are lots of options out there with regards to fertility treatment, speak to your consultant once you know the results. xx good luck! xx
