Hi all, I've taken a look at similar posts dating back to Nov and July last year but still looking for the one! My wife is due in 5 weeks and we are really struggling for boys name, we seem to have a long list of girls names that we both adore but are struggling on the male front! What are your favourites? Many thanks!

Chay and kian are my favorite
I love the name Dominic !!!

Whatever you do, choose a name thats going to sound ok throughout his life.

Like Lee. I think lee is ok for a boy but not a man.

And make sure you choose a name that can be shortened. So that when they are naughty, you can use the full name!

Hi mats01_99. 1st of all congrats on the fast approaching new arrival, I remember being pregnant last July & answering a question you posted about conception, so whatever advice you took from the vast amount that was posted must've worked!!!

We had a baby boy in December & had the opposite prob from you & couldn't agree on a girls name. We had a list of boys including (in no particular order) Daniel, Alexander, Dominic, Matthew but ended up with Elliot. Our wee boy suits it so much & we are very happy with the choice.

All the very best for your new addition.

Tiggs.

harrison

corey

elliott

charlie

for girls i like

molly

silver

sky

How about Zorro
hi mats01_99, i have a boy named mitchell, and i had my first son who sadly died in 2002 and was called addison. best of luck to you both and good luck. x
an unusual name thats been around 40 odd years ''Perry''
how about NOAH, someone suggested this to my sister and she loves it, its not very common either,
also how about Macauley, you can shorten it to Mac. harrison and shorten it to harry,

My alltime ever favourite boy's name:

Robin

Unfortunately, my husband absolutely hates that name, so we are currently having the same problem you are facing.

Since my surname starts with a J, I don't want his first name starting with a J.
It must not be a French name (my husband would never go for that).
Me being German, and him being American, it should also be a name, that's pronounced similarly in both languages.

So right now, we're thinking of

Connor

Knowing our luck, it will end up being a girl, though...

Bohne - that made me laugh - my other half would not appreciate any son of ours with a Frenh name, but I love the name Sebastien.....

Fortunately, however, although we thought we were being different (and looking at these posts we aren't!) we have decided on Nathan Elliott - and I'm not even trying for a baby yet!! :-)

I had this problem when i was pregnant, i liked all the traditional like James, Daniel, Conner, and Luke but i wanted something a bit different so it was a choice between Levi,Alfie or Eli(not pronounced like the girls name ellie).I eventually settled for Levi.He is now fourteen and thinks his name is quite cool!Good luck to you all with what ever name you choose.

Hi. We stuggled with boys names but only managed to agree on one so our son was named Leo Wlliam George (middle names came from grandparents). I liked Max when I was pregnant with my first born but she ended up a girl called Lois.

Let us know what you choose!

I just love all the old fashioned names like William, John, David, James, George, etc. The trouble with fashionable names is that they date you when you get older. The old names are timeless and in the main sound very masculine.

Trafford
I like James (my sons name), Joseph and Gabriel.
...and William.

good luck on your forthcoming arrival whatever it is i hope all is good for you both. I love all the old traditional stuff e.g Harry Fred Billy etc etc but please dont start tinkering with names to get a new one in my littluns school we have a Mathaniel, Natch, Mitchen to name a few thats just boys! good luck again.

oh forgot to add that my friend called her little boy Miller which really suits him.
