paternity leave

i have asked for paternity leave at work i am full time lorry driver .how many weeks leave can i have .And if it is with pay .What advice can you give me on leave from work .What is requred by law .

My mate has just had 2 weeks of the government but if you'd waited then you could have 3/6 from government but its only 106 pounds a week i think, well a 1/3 of wages.

Your company however doesnt have to give anything ours gave my mate 2days!!!!
