It doesnt surprise me in the least that Labour were involved in smearing the only NHS Hospital run by a private company has been targeted in this way. It went from getting an award for patient care to being declared a failure, with the private company pulling out. Labour only has the NHS to campaign on now that they can't use Flatlining/unemployment/cost of living to bang on about. It's like their "giving tax breaks to the rich" when they were bigger breaks for the rich under Labour, ie 40p rate. As far as the NHS is concerned, we had A & E crises under Labour and you only have to look to Wales to see that Labour isn't fit to run the NHS?

Er good try but the experiment in a Private NHS Hospital did not fail because the hospital was poor, it failed because demand was too high and there was not enough funds coming from Government to pay for it and make a profit.

Labour and the Unions may have sabotarged its rating (I do not know if that accusation is true), but that is not why Circle ended the deal. They ended the deal because they had to make a profit after they had treated patients, and couldn't do (or not enough profit to satisfy their shareholders).
// The local NHS body, which suddenly slashed the hospital’s funding and imposed arbitrary fines, is heavily influenced by Labour activists. //

Every NHS hospital in the country has had its funding cut in real terms after the coalition put a freeze on funding. The freeze leading to a funding crisis was entirely predictabl.

The Mail rather unhelpfully does not name the NHS body it claims is under Labour influence, and cut funding to Hitchingbrooke, so we are left gussing where to look to test that claim. If they mean the local NHS Trust, then their Exutives profiles are beliw. There is no obvious link to Labour.

"In January 2015 Circle announced that because Hinchingbrooke Hospital was "no longer [financially] viable under current terms" it wanted to withdraw from operating the hospital under the exit terms of the contract"

If political shenanigans were suspected why did Circle not fight their case on those grounds ?

So guilty by Mail court, nothing to see here.... move along ? -stitch up or red herring ?

The figures for budget deficit seems at variance with this

That would be the Andy Burnham/Labour experiment then. Can we trust them with the NHS again?
Well, we certainly can't trust the posh boy !!!
