After my husband had an affair we decided to separate. He wouldn't move back with his family and refused to rent as it was dead money. We increased the mortagage on our family home and put a 25k deposit down on a property for him. It suited as our kids would be able to stay with him there. We have been separated nearly two years, and as he has "no work" (self employed so I can't prove anything) he gives me anything from nil to 200 per month in maintenance. I have paid the mortgage and bills on the family home on my own since.
Will this be taken into account when we settle the property and will the 25k extra that effectively I am paying for be taken into account?
