To all those offering me support in the last few days, dispite my happier notes of earlier this evening, my nan passed away an hour ago. My Granddad just phoned me to let me know, he was barely able to say she had gone.
Thanks again for your support over the last few days, i think it is going to be needed over the coming few days/ weeks.
Im heart broken, my idol has gone.

firewatch, Please accept my condolences on the loss of your nan. I've been following your thread and I was'nt suprised when you said how your nan had perked up. This is often the case known as "The last life" but I did'nt want to say anything. As a firm believer in the afterlife Im sure your beloved nan will be around you and your Grandad watching over you. Cry whenever you feel the need, its part of the grieving process. Take care my love. x
so very sad for you but you do have wonderful memories of your Nan, treasure them.

Keep your G.dad company as he will be bereft for long while and needs to be able to share memories.x
Sorry to hear the news firewatch. Look after each other. x
Hello firewatch, that is really sadnews, you must feel numb, nobody will have any wise words to take the pain away, you have got to live through this, because it has happened, your grandam must be the focal point in your lives for the time being at least, he will need everybody to help him come to terms with it.
The nights will be the hardest, when the curtains are shut, and he is alone, ring him then just to let him know he isn't alone. the memeories you have of your nan will always be with you, nobody can take them.
sending you love and strength,to help you, but please remember to look after yourself and your dad, this is going to hurt him so much, take care, and if or when you ever want to talk, please come back on here. if you want my e-mail I will pass it on to you. god bless. Ray xx
Hello firewatch - following on from your last thread, I'm so, so sorry to hear about your Nan.

The next few days, weeks, months, will be very difficult for your Grandad, you & your family. But I'm sure in time, you will all be able to reflect on all the wonderful, happy memories you & your Nan shared together.

Arms around you.

Love Smudge. -xx-

I have been signed off from wok until Monday, our CFR said you are in emotional shock you need to resist the urge to come in.
My dad is staying with my granddad at the moment, to make sure he is ok and help him make arrangements.
I still cant believe its happening, thanks for your kind words i feel your love and words like a childs comfort blanket something to read when i am down and glum.
i am so sorry to read your nan has passed away the next few days will be hard as its like being in limbo till the funeral comes ,dont be afraid to say what ever you feel and you are bound to vent your anger and hurt on your husband but he will understand , you have lost a big part of your life it will hurt so much at times you will feel like you cant bear it but in time i can assure you you wll come out the other side i dont think the pain ever gets any less you just get used to it and learn to put it in a little box in your mind and open it every now and then , i lost my mum 7 years ago and i will never get over it but i have learnt to live with it every now and then my box opens and i break my heart all over again . i have lots of photos of her out and sometimes i feel her with me so i know she is still keeping an eye on me .take care sweetheart and remember we are all here for you . xxxruth
firewatch yes you are right ,the kindness that comes over to you here will help, they were a warm cloak to me last august when i lost mt darling husband. More importantly i can revisit whenever i need to, and friends are there. It in no way detracts from the love and care from family , rather it adds to it. We are human so we survive as we have to.
A big cuddle and hug from

Mamya xx
I can't type much for the tears!
I am SO sorry to hear that. But she had a long and good life, and a loving family, so take comfort from that. I missed this post, as I 'forwarded' through to last week's to see how she was.
Anyway, no words can help, but it is always nice to know that others are thinking of you. I don't think it gets any easier, but time does help. And you will start to remember the good times, and that is how it should be.
Take care, Muzz x
