maybe not very exciting for a 70th, but I bought grandparent and greatgrandparents lottery tickets. Great if they win but a bit boring maybe if they dont ! best hope they share if they do win. !
Maybe a trip to the theatre, most theatres have access for disable people including wheelchairs if necessary. One person often goes free as the carer.

Places like 'The Deep' in Hull and aquariums around the country have access for disabled people although may not be able to visit it all.

Good luck and I hope he has a great day.
You could make something special for him, me and my brothers made my mum a photo collage of all three of us as babies and children once and another time we went to a clay painting place and all did our hand prints, including my boys on a plate, she loved them both.
For my mother-in-laws 70th we bought her a bird feeder (one of the poles from which you can hang feeders) plus big bags of peanuts and seeds to fill the feeders. She's had an awful lot of pleasure out of it. Check out the 4 feeder pole on this page

Do him a "This is your life" , type of Red book.
Pictures , war years , where he has lived ..then and now ...
Look up old friends ...
he would love it.
My OH scanned photo's onto a DVD for his parents at Christmas. They have watched it again and again and it always brings a tear to their eyes. It was a lot of hard work, but priceless in value.
We got a digital photo frame for my husband's Nana for her 80th. If you get a big enough memory card, you can scan old photos which bring back cherished memories. That way the photos are always there without the need to look them out from albums etc. Nana really likes it. She has health problems and doesn't get out much. When there isn't much on the telly she puts it on and really enjoys the memories.
