It's a mate's birthday on Tuesday, and i'm soooooo skint so decided to make her a funny gift instead.

At first i was going to make a kind of Mr. Men story book using pictures cut from a catalogue and stick cut outs of her face on the people, but this will be daft as each person is obviously dressed different from the next. Then I was going to draw the people instead... but to do a book, I have to first write the story then draw and colour each picture.

Can anyone suggest anything I could make which will be different and funny?

I'm good with my hands and can get hold of mod-rock and chicken wire (so could make a puppet or model), but
unfortunately, I'm really skint, so can't afford any paints!

I'd be grateful for any answers and if there are pictures available, I'm more than happy to give an msn address.

Also, this needs to me made by Fri night as she's having a party!

Many thanks... X

Do you have any glue? Do you live near the sea? If so, you could make some people out of pebbles and little seashells. If you've got access to felt tip pens/magic markers you could then put faces on them. You coudl try to make them look like mutual friends.

Otherwise, why don't you write some "cheques". i.e. make a copy of cheques and promise to do something, like hoover your mates lounge, or other housework things, or take her dog for a walk (if she has one). Novel, and should make her smile.

How about one of the rabbits from Wallace & Gromit - Curse of the Were-rabbit?

Or made a model of your friend in that style?

A character like the ones Matthew Roby makes out of rubbish would be good but he welds them together (you don't have much time) but how about a character like from button moon? They're just made from kitchen stuff.

Thanks you two, but I had a look in Fenwicks and saw that 6 tubs of coloured Play-doh was only 2.99 and she can have hours of fun with that.... EVERYONE loves Play-doh!!!!!

So we'll crack open the vino and play a game I've just invented... pictionary play-doh! Even better after the Sambuca and vodka soaked watermelon! X
Oh, that's cheating lol!
