Hi,
I own shares in BG group. But have lost the certificate. How do I get a replacement. Or better still, just sell the shares?

Thanks in anticipation...

You apply to the company registrar for a replacement - you can't sell until you've got it.

The Registrar is likely to want a hefty fee BTW
You need to write to the registrar for an indemnity form to confirm you've lost the certificate and need a replacement. I'd be very surprised if they want a "hefty" fee. It's usually a nominal fee (although I suppose that may be hefty relative to the shareholding depending how small it is).
Depends what you mean by hefty of course but some charge at least £50. A small admin fee plus an insurance indemnity which is the main cost.

Ideally - find the certificate
