Hi. What's the best bank for a student account. I've never had credit so I'm afraid I might fail the credit check...there's nothing bad on my record just that there's nothing there. Which bank has good acceptance and also good for a student?

Basically students come off pretty well - provided your address can be verified by finding you on an electoral role, not having a credit records houlsdn't affect you.  All Banks are pretty similar and I don't think any in particular stand out as being better than others.

All are chasing students to bank with them, after all, students are the high earners of the future and hopefully, will eventually make the Bank more money than they cost them at the outset.

Don't pay too much attention to the free gifts they offer, look for one with a cheap overdraft rate (cos you're bound to use it!) or high interest on positive balances if you plan to be boring, sorry I mean sensible.

Visit www.support4learning.org.uk to compare student bank accounts and read Experian's new students leaflet (you can download or order it from www.experian.co.uk) for more information about looking after your credit history while you study.
