i signed up for broadband with tiscali in august and specifically chose the broadband only option, however tiscali have been charging me for phone phonecalls to!

after speaking to them they have finally agreed to refund all call charges however they will only refund it to my tiscali account.

With the nominal amount my broadband costs per month its going to take them nearly 3 years to refund all of the money.

Am i entitled to ask for the money refunded by cheque, i've also seen on websites and on TV that when you get a refund from bank charges etc you can add on interest, say 8%!

Is this applicable in this case?

Yes, tell them you want a cheque. Who should you have paid for the calls?

i have my line rental and call package with BT
Hi Danchip,

Similar problem with AOL. When I moved home in February, I had to contact them for a 'house move request'. They opened 2 accounts by mistake, charged to me ('extra' account opened 2 weeks before the internet was available again) and as a result, on 28/02/2009, I was debited by 2.5 times the usual amount.
Phone calls (waiting...), email ('there has been a mistake, please call us'), new phone call ('we are keying the refund'). In fact, the monies are deducted from my next 2 monthly bills!!!
