I know I've asked this before and Ethel did a wonderful job researching this for me but came up blank.Surely, somebody knows a body or institiute who controls Internet banks, specifically Veripayment. They can't be a law unto themselves? Hope someone comes up with a definitive answer.

I don't know if you already have this info but it is useful from Companies House:

Registered No. 04818286
JOHN HUMPHRIES HOUSE,
ROOM 304, 4-10 STOCKWELL STREET,
GREENWICH,
LONDON, SE10 9JN

So we know they are registered in the UK.

I object to them using the term 'internet banking' on their website - they are not a bank and they are not subjected to the same regulations.

I still have no proper answer but a few suggestions:

Phone:
Trading Standards at your local Council
FSA 0845 606 1234

They may be able to point you in the right direction.

I can't remember the problems you are having with them. Do you have redress in the small claims' court under contract law?

Hello Ethel,
R U a lawyer by any chance? Yes, I did know their address over here, but unfortunately for me I am involved with them in internet sales overseas and they're giving me such a hard time like blocking my credit cards if they think I'm ordering too little or too much.I am getting so tired of them acting as a Law unto themselves that I wanted to complain to their ruling body.Unfortunately, unlike over here ther'e's nobody I've found to complain to. I don't think their branch in Greenwich is gonna be bothered as they are part of them. It's really annoying, but I appreciate your advice. Thanks.

Have you spoken to the FSA?

I know they may have no authority over this company but they may be in a position to tell you who to contact.
Could you not contact the financial ombudsman? Sorry I don't know their info/contact details.

Thanks to each of you.The FSA and Ombudsman are actually a good idea in trying to find out details.I'll look them up. I know its my problem, but the ever increasing internet sales by consumers is a such a growing business, that these financial institutions should be held accountable to a ruling body if things go disasterously wrong or, Heaven forbid, the Financial Institution turns out to be a front for a scam. I am genuinly surprised this being the Business & Finance part of AB, that there seems to be such apathy or lack of knowledge on the subject.
