I joint own (50/50) a set of adjoined commercial properties with my business partner whom I have fallen out with.

He initially agreed to sell at a particular price as he cannot afford to buy me out. However he has not yet instructed his solicitor to take action and as a result our solicitor has not yet received any reply from him/his solicitor.

I have already taken out loans, remortgaged my home and spend money on costs for this acquisition. He is stalling as he is trying to sell some of his investments to raise the cash to try and buy me out.

Is there any way I can force him to commit to his word and sell his share to me??

OK, obvious comment maybe, but why are you asking on here when you have a solicitor who is best placed to advise?

The solicitor does not have much knowledge in this area of law. Besides, It doesn't hurt to get more advice!
