I read yesterday thet Northern Ireland Electricity is now owned by Arcapita, an international investment bank. This set me thinking: how many of the utiities companies are now owned by banks? Are the increases in utility costs just a smokescreen for these banks clawing back what they lost in the so-called 'Credit crunch''?
