I got a new camera at xmas 2007 but the screen is broken. its a samsung l83t and the screen is LCD 2.5". I don't know exactly how it happened, but the lens etc still works. It is covered under insurance but i don't know if the best thing to do is claim off the insurance or speak to samsung. Before the screen broke, the zoom was a bit dodgy! Is it possible to replace the screen? The camera was red and is dead hard to find now and i really liked it!

Just wanted to say you are not alone in having a broken samsung. I got one aout 3 months ago, and have really rated it. Tonight it fell on the floor and the zoom function is now funked completely. I daresay I can get it fixed under the guarantee, but it is so inconvenient.
so they make good stuff to use but not very well made

when you say insurance do you mean house insurance.... if so don't claim!!

Shop around and you could buy a better camera for less then the excess and increased policy would be!
