Afternoon .

has anyone undergone CRB check? i have an interview to be a prison officer as you can imagine their checks are quite in depth, I have been arrested twice for Public Order offences and fined and once for drunk and disorderley which no charges were brought against me.

i have also been hospitlised through alcohol intoxication a couple times all last year (had a bad year !)
will this affect me and shall i disclose it so not to ruin my chances of getting this job?

I would imagine that for a Prison officer you'll have an enhanced CRB check. This means that everything will come up. Cautions, arrests, sentences, spent offences. Everything. I would disclose now, then at least there won't be any suprises.

no i dont have any outstanding warrents... i do owe alot of money and have credit companies trying to track me. tho. dont know if that will be a prob!!!!
Forget it. They will want to see your medical record and alcoholics are not welcome as prison officers.
All the offences will show up on your Disclosure, so it's best to simply let them know. They won't take you on if you have previous though.
i wouldent let you look after dogs, let alone prisoners.
the problem is, if you have "dark deeds" in your past then you are more suseptible to prisoners saying "help me get out or i'll tell so and so about so and so"
