Hi, I've had my current job for nearly 9 years ( since leaving school ) and have never needed to know my GCSE results as I was placed by an office recruitment company. I'm going to be made redundant soon and have started completing some new job application forms but they are asking for my GCSE results which I dont know! I cant remember getting anything from school & the new forms have very close closing dates so I cant contact my old school ( unless they can tell me over the phone?). So my question is........ do you know yours and is it naughty to lie or guess? What would you do, do you all know your results? TIA Sue x

2 O levels and 10 GCSE's all at A (A Stars didn't exist then!!) so I never had to bother to remember!!!!!

However, simply telephone your old school or college and they will tell you.

If not on computer, they will still have a register somewhere so it may take some time. But they will have them.

If you need new certificates, they is a a charge of about a tenner each, so try and avoid this with a photocopy from the educational establishment.

Good luck.
I would make them up if i was you. I have never, in 18 years, been asked for my certificates.

If you are applying for jobs that you are fully capable of doing, i dont see that GCSE results make the slightest bit of difference. You have 9 years work experience which is more important than any school results.

In my opinion, GCSE results are only relevant when you are applying for higher education.
