Hi,

before I started my job I was unemployed for one month. I need a loan off around 3000 to pay off overdue bills.

My credit rating is poor due to moving address and changing jobs so many times especially when I was a student.

I earn 27,500 a year and I'm renting a flat.

With a poor credit rating what is the best direction to go?

I have just applied online to Halifax and it was refused.

Thanks,

Sally x

Hello Sally. There are independent brokers (like myself) that can still find unsecured loans for people with unfavourable credit too. In addition, you may want to apply to Experian, Equifax and Call Credit to ensure that your details are accurate. Also, any details good or bad are removed after 6 years and some lenders are not too concerned about information dated after 3 years. If you incurred charges from any credit card companies, you may be able to repay them by claiming your charges back. Hope this helps.
simply moving around a lot shouldn't per se affect your credit rating
